Paul E. Sargent, Principal, has worked as a financier in institutional and private commercial real estate lending for the past thirty years. His areas of expertise include loan origination, underwriting, portfolio-asset management, development, structured finance, and the secondary loan market. Sargent has been involved in the funding of over $1 billion worth of real estate loans in his lending career. Institutionally, Sargent has placed loans with more than fifty different organizations, including life companies, pension funds, commercial banks and private money sources. Along with being a correspondent to life companies, he has also served as an Advisor to Arizona’s second largest pension fund ($6 billion in assets), on loan participations. Previously, Sargent was a senior officer with Bridge Financial Corp. (an AMEX public company), Chase Bank (New York and Arizona), Mellon Bank and Pickrell Mortgage. With private lending, Sargent has managed various family office and partnership funds, along with investing his own monies. He is a co-founder and principal of Oasis Financial (www.oasis-financial.com) and Green Street Capital Group (www.greenstreetcg.com), both direct private lenders and structured finance companies, licensed by the Arizona Department of Finance. Specific private loans funded have ranged from $50,000 to $29,700,000. Paul received his MBA degree from Arizona State University after obtaining a BA from Utah State University. Sargent, age 56, lives in Tempe, Arizona with his wife of 33 years. They have six children, ages 31 to 16. He is active in youth and church organizations, and enjoys travel, racquetball, tennis and golf. Brandon W. Walters, Principal, has worked in real estate from the finance side for his entire professional career. Mr. Walters began his professional career in public accounting working in both tax and audit, including being employed by the international accounting firm Deloitte & Touche. He has worked as a private real estate lender and pension fund advisor for various funds including the $6 billion Public Safety Personnel Retirement System (Arizona’s second largest pension fund). He has facilitated the closing of over $250 million in real estate loans as well as consulting on over $1 billion of structured finance transactions. Brandon has worked with many types of real estate thru public accounting, lending, consulting and as an owner. These property types include raw land, master planned communities, apartments, retail, golf courses, hotels and farms. He has also been involved with the development/construction of many of these property types. Brandon earned a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Arizona State University. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Arizona Society of CPA's. He is a licensed Realtor in the state of Arizona and holds a Mortgage Brokers license in Arizona. In addition, Brandon is married with three children, and enjoys travel, and all athletics. Bradley D. Wagner – Real Estate Analyst, has experience with notable companies within various real estate, insurance and construction environments. Prior to Oasis Financial, Wagner managed residential subdivision entitlements and developments. He has also handled insurance agent/claims adjustments, investigated property losses and had key roles in generating policy contracts and book of business. Bradley graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University. He stays active in the community through volunteer and church organizations. Bradley is married with three children, enjoys hunting, and playing softball. |
